Neelam Valley Neelam valley is one of many mesmerizing vallies of Azad Kashmir which is named as heaven on earth because of its jaw dropping beauty. Neelam valley is located north of Muzafrabad in Neelam district. River neelam passes through neelam valley the valley stretches to 144 kilometers in length.
From sky touching snow-capped peaks to deep water falls, from loud gushing rivers to calm flowery gardens from lush green wide plains to thick beautiful Forests this valley has it all what makes it heaven and it's phenomenal beauty lies in its calmness of the place and simplicity of its residents who welcome tourists so warmly and with so much compassion that it makes everyone fall in love with the valley and its people in a matter of seconds. However this valley is not easily accessible as roads are not in a good condition but this is also a blessing in disguise as it prevents the valley from becoming a mainstream picnic spot that in turns keeps the serenity of the place alive. To reach this astonishing place you need to park your cars at Raikot bridge which is 55 kilometers away from Chilas on Karakoram highway, after that you will be taken to village Tato through a 15 kilometers long jeep track which is very adventurous and daring experience. After this there is a 5 kilometers long hiking trail which takes up to three to four hours to reach Fairy Meadows, you can use horses if you can't hike for that long. This grassland is located in the Raikot valley at one end of Raikot glacier which orignates from Naga Parbat.
